You can modify or revoke your testament at any time, regardless of what form it takes.

Upon every death, an inheritance declaration must be drawn up by a notary, who will deal with all necessary inquiries and notifications. Every testament which is legally drawn up by a notary or deposited in his study will be registered at the “Administration de l’Enregistrement”, without revealing its content. This registration ensures that your dying requests are carried out.

If it seems possible that this will be your final will and testament, we recommend you do it with your notary.

If you choose to do a handwritten testament, we recommend you to deposit it with your notary.
